Welcome our new GM

My journey in the hospitality industry began while studying Tourism Management at Nelson Mandela University. As part of my studies, I completed my in-service training at Hacklewood Hill Country House, where I first fell in love with the charm and character of this remarkable property.

On 17 December 2021, my journey with the Port Elizabeth Hotel Group officially began. Shortly thereafter, I was offered a position as a Duty Manager while still completing my studies, which I finished at the end of 2022.

At the beginning of 2023, I applied for a Duty Manager position at The Beach Hotel and transitioned there in April. Just eight months later, I was given the opportunity to step into the role of Front Office Manager—an experience that allowed me to grow both professionally and personally.

Fast forward three years, and I am incredibly proud to share that I have returned to Hacklewood Hill Country House—this time as General Manager. From the very first day I walked through its gates, Hacklewood captured my heart, and it has always been my dream to lead such a unique and beautiful hotel. Being back truly feels like coming home.

I have been fortunate to learn and grow in every role I have held, and I am excited to see what this new chapter at Hacklewood will bring.
