The exquisite Victorian manor house will be shutting their doors from the 14th July to 4th August 2014 to begin with the much anticipated delicate refurbishment.
Hacklewood Hill Country House was built in 1898 and is an elegant and stately 8 room 5-star hotel set in the peaceful surroundings of the leafy suburb of Walmer. Alison Van Zijl, interior decorator, will be constructing a fresh, new look for our award winning restaurant and lounge area whilst still maintaining Hacklewood’s unique look and feel.
The unique antiques, elegant fine fabrics, the authentic chandelier, antique French doors, porcelain tiled verandah and the traditional feeling that one has entering a luxurious country home attended by our superb Hacklewood team – will not be spoilt.
The Hacklewood team is extremely excited for the up and coming developments and we look forward to creating new, tantalising and gourmet experiences for our wonderful guests. We will be documenting the developments of our lovely Country House so feel free to follow us and our exciting refurbishment.
